What’s in a trip across the pond? Cliche or not, there’s something for everybody:
- Borough Market: London’s oldest and largest food markets. It draws tourists and locals for a dizzying array of gastronomic ‘street food’ delights. It’s also home to some of the best bars and restaurants in the city.
- Tate Modern: Not to be confused with the Tate Britain, in Pimlico. The Tate Modern, in Bankside, houses the works of Dali, Warhol and Hockney, among others. The Switch House extension has an eye-popping 360-degree view of the London skyline, and like most London museums, it’s free admission.
- Oxford Street: London’s top spot for shopping is also Europe’s busiest. It hosts more than 300 shops and sees 500,000 daily visitors.
- Buckingham Palace: stroll through Green Park to steal a glimpse of the home of the British Royal Family since 1837. It features 775 rooms and the largest private garden in London.
This former silver mining town, in Utah, is now your premier winter sports destination. Home to two major ski resorts: Deer Valley and Park City. Year-round, Park City’s free, ski-friendly transportation system makes it easy to explore both downtown and resort attractions, including historic Main Street. Also of note, Park City hosts the Sundance Film Festival in January.
Discover featured exhibits by regional and national artists at the Kimball Art Center, which is located just a few blocks off Main Street and offers free admission. Take one of the more than 300 classes in painting, drawing, photography, stained glass, pottery and more!
